11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum will be held in Brasilia, a city meticulously planned and constructed to serve as Brazil’s capital, envisioned by President Juscelino Kubitschek. Renowned for its modernist architecture designed by Lúcio Costa e Oscar Niemeyer, Brasilia is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, symbolizing Brazilian architectural and urban planning excellence.

The National Congress Palace, situated at the Praça dos Três Poderes, stands as an iconic representation of Brasilia and Brazil. Its architecture, inspired by the United Nations headquarters in New York, combines elegance and grandeur, featuring concave and convex domes representing the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate, respectively.
Beyond its architectural significance, the National Congress houses a rich collection of art and furnishings by renowned Brazilian artists. In 2024, the National Congress Palace hosted the 10th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20), reaffirming its role as a hub for parliamentary deliberations and significant international debates.
